Status: Open Edition Noel Gallagher Pastel Prints signed by Mark Reynolds Noel Thomas David Gallagher (born 29 May 1967) is an English musician and singer-songwriter, formerly the lead guitarist, occasional lead singer and principal songwriter of the rock band Oasis. He is currently fronting his solo project, Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds. Raised in Burnage, Manchester, Noel began learning guitar at the age of thirteen. After a series of odd jobs in construction, he worked for local Manchester band Inspiral Carpets as a roadie and technician in 1988. Whilst touring with them, he learned that his brother Liam Gallagher had formed a band of his own, known as The Rain, which eventually took on the name Oasis. After Noel returned to England, he was invited by his brother to join Oasis as songwriter and guitarist. Oasis have been rumoured for a reunion in 2014 to mark the 20 year anniversary of their debut album “Definitely Maybe” – despite constant denials from both Gallagher brothers that they will get back together.   The video Wonderwall by Noel Gallagher (Oasis) can be found by following this link. My admiration for Noel Gallagher began within the rise of the Manchester music scene in the early 90s.

As a young lad traveling up and down the motorways of the north, going from club to club,  listening to old school dance and Indie music from all nighters to weekender’s.

Oasis was a new sound on the block, something different at the time, a cocky arrogant front man and his brother producing genius sounds from an electric guitar. These were the things that cried  awesome, a new band adding to Manchester’s array of talent.

This became the beginning of something special for me and has left me many memory‘s of the great times I had with friends, listening to definitely maybe over and over again.

This was it, a new sound, a new band to follow in suite of The Stone Roses, giving the nineties another boost to becoming the best era in music culture ever. This was the inspiration and foundation for most of my hypperrealism pencil art.
