Manchester Music Legends
The Manchester music legends brought much media attention to the city from the late 1980s to the beginning of the 1990s.
Bands such as The Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, the Charlatans the Inspiral Carpets and James mixed alternative rock, psychedelic rock and dance music to create a sound which led to commercial success in the indie rock field and a wider musical influence nationally.
Tony Wilson was the music mogul behind some of Manchester’s most successful bands. He was one of the five co-founders of Factory Records and the founder and manager of The Haçienda nightclub.
Wilson was also known as Mr Manchester, dubbed as such for his work in promoting the culture of Manchester throughout his career.
The Manchester Music Legends print features several musicians/bands paying homage to the Manchester Music scene that started in the 1980s and endures to the present day.
A enjoyable piece of manchesters music history brought together in pencil.
